The Amelia County Fair is proud to support the next generation of leaders in our community.

We welcome students who want to earn community service hours, build leadership skills, and give back while supporting a local tradition.

ACFA Scholarship Opportunity

Each year, the Fair awards two $1,000 scholarships to eligible Amelia County students. As part of the scholarship application process, applicants are required to complete 16 volunteer hours with the Amelia County Fair Association.

Volunteering helps students gain experience, demonstrate initiative, and strengthen their scholarship applications.

Community Service Hours

We provide documented volunteer hours for students participating in:

  • Beta Club

  • National Honor Society

  • FFA

  • Boy Scouts + Cub Scouts

  • Church youth groups

  • Civic + academic organizations

Verification forms can be signed upon completion of service.

Schools & Groups Welcome

We proudly welcome public, private, and homeschool students, as well as school clubs and youth organizations.

If you’re a teacher, homeschool leader, scout leader, or organization advisor interested in coordinating a group volunteer opportunity, we would love to partner with you.

THE YOUTH COUNCIL

Introducing:

Group Discussion

New this year, the Amelia County Fair is proud to launch our Youth Council, a group of motivated young volunteers who want to help improve the Fair through their ideas, leadership, and service.

Youth Council members will volunteer at Fair events, share input on activities and programming, and help shape the future of the Fair. This is a great opportunity for students who care about their community and want to grow as leaders while giving back.

We believe today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders, and we’re excited to give them a voice at the table.

Building Community for the Future

The Amelia County Fair thrives because of volunteers of all ages; students earning service hours, parents helping during Fair week, retirees giving their time, and community members who simply love seeing the Fair succeed.

Some volunteers serve once a year. Others grow into committee members or Board leaders. Every role matters.

When you volunteer, you help preserve a local tradition, support youth and agriculture, and continue bringing the fun of the Fair to families across our community.

No matter your age or experience, there is a place for you here.

Join us and help keep the Amelia County Fair strong for generations to come.
