Meet Miss Amelia County Fair 2026

Hi! I am Cara Barrett your new Miss Amelia County Fair 2026. I am a rising sophomore at Roanoke college with plans to double major in History and Social Studies education. I love all history and cannot wait to explore the history behind this county! Along with my academics, I play softball at Roanoke where I am a pitcher and 3rd basemen. Softball has been my passion since I was 4 years old.

My platform the Dysautonomia Project is a non-profit organization that educates young women and health care professionals on what this condition is and how to give proper treatment. I have suffered from Dysautonomia and want to be a voice for all the young women who feel unheard.

I can’t wait to represent this wonderful county and I hope to see you all of the Amelia County Fair August 13th-16th!

Our Pageant Director

Ashley Mullins

Ashley Mullins has been involved in pageantry for over a decade; she began her pageant journey at a local county fair and worked her way up to competing at Miss Virginia. Ashley was the first contestant to debut an aerial talent on the Miss Virginia stage and brought home a non-finalist talent award with her efforts.

Today, Ashley has a continued passion for helping young women develop life-long skills through pageantry. She, along with her husband and daughter, live in Jetersville on a 100 year old farm where it seems they are always repairing something. When Ashley isn't tending to their farm animals (the mischievous geese being her favorite), she enjoys frequenting theme parks, spending time with friends and family, volunteering with the Amelia County Fair, and teaching herself new things.
